Can My Ten Year Old Pug Have Puppies?

So my pug is ten years old , she’s healthier than any other pug I’ve seen . A few weeks ago I found her mating with my neighboors dog . How do I know of she can have puppy’s or not?.

No, absolutely not!

One: Pugs have really hard labor and deliveries, due to their respiratory problems

Two: Ten years of age is critically beyond the safe age for ANY dog to be bred and have puppies

Three: The worst thing that would be against your 10 year old Pug having pups is having a very clueless, ignorant breeder/owner trying to do something he/she knows nothing about to the extreme detriment of the dog.

You wanna kill her? Go ahead and breed her. And since the gestation is only 62 days, you need to take her to the vet to see if she is; and if so, abort/spay her ASAP!!!

Can a healthy 65 year old woman have babies? Maybe, but the baby would most likely have mental and physical handicaps.
Your dog is WAY too old.

Your pug could die having her first litter of pups at this age.
Get her checked at the vets and if she is pregnant get it terminated pronto.

If she’s spayed..she can’t have puppies. If she’s not spayed, has she gone into heat? A female dog has to be in heat to have puppies. Although…ten years old is pretty old to be having puppies. That’s like…56 in human years. So…no not likely

ANY dog over the age of 5 is too old to have puppies. It doesn’t matter if they are healthy or not, they can die from giving birth because they’re old. The puppies may even be stillborn, so it really isn’t a good idea. I would suggest getting your pug spayed, seeing as she shouldn’t have puppies at this age, and spaying her now can reduce the risk of certain problems that are more likely to occur in elderly female dogs.

Nope. She couldn’t. Because, a dogs age is dog years is the dogs age in human years multiplied by about 7. So she should be about 70 in dog years. And usually a human who is 70 already went through menopause soooo….. I wouldn’t think it could happen but go to the vet just in case. But don’t go to the vets if she has already been spayed there would be nothing to worry about GUARENTEED.

She can be pregnant if she’s not spayed and is in heat. You can check if she’s pregnant after few weeks. However, 10 years is too old to have a dog pregnant. The solution? Spay her to avoid over population of dogs.
