Is It Too Late for My Pug to Find Another Pug and Have Puppies?

He’s almost 8 and we want puppies before he gets too old is it too late?

He isn’t too old, but I don’t recommend breeding your dog just because you want some cute puppies. Those puppies will eventually need to find other homes and there are way too many dogs out there needing homes already.

He isn’t to old yet,but you should start looking for a female pug that someone wants to breed

8 is a bit old. Dogs can over exert themselves to. Do some research on his age and reproducing this will give you a better idea. But as far as I know dogs can have puppies all of their life male or female. But it can cause health risks at his older age.

    Too late

Don’t breed a dog unless it is a quality example of the breed. Id bet yours isn’t.

It’s too late and there is no reason for it in the first place.

I would have your Pug vetted before you ever breed him…to make sure he is healthy enough to breed. 8 yrs. old is considered a Senior dog and breeding might give him a stroke or heat attack if his heart is weak or showing signs of disease. If he is overweight or has health issues you certainly do not want to breed him. He should be tested and cleared by a Vet before any breedings occur. Be careful because breeding causes STD’s and could be life threatening to your little guy. Keep asking questions especially to your vet:):)

    too late

quality of sperm declines with age.. which means he is at a higher risk of producing pups with defects No one with a decent female will seriously consider him.

you wont get puppies anyways. Owner of the female gets the puppies.

The older the dog, the more chances there will be problems with the puppies.
